Bio safety tests conducted by Mahyco
Leave a CommentUnforutnately, the biosafety tests conducted by Mahyco have been rubbber stamped by the government without any review.
This is obvious becasue, the results of these tests that they ( honourable Genetic Engineering approval Committee and the Dept. of biotechnology) have finally uploaded on the web, after fighting cases at the Delhi High court and recently the Supreme Court, are password protected and cannot be printed, copied or pasted.
so, we have to believe that all the 1100 plus pages were reviewed by the 28 members of the committee on a computer ( the other option is that the company provided 59 copies to all members- 28 GEAC and 31 RCGM which is most unlikely). May be its true, becasue when Dr. Bhargava, Special invitee of hte Supreme Court to the GEAC had sought the data they had said him to come and review it in their offices, in New Delhi which he could not for various reasons ( He is from Hyderabad).
so, they did review it on a computer.
since, normal souls like us cannot do that, i am uploading the unprotected versions for all public purposes of cross checking and printing.
